Birthday Pictures

Here are pictures from Edward's birthday party:

Hershal is continuing the tradition of Papa Kevin by making pancakes in the initials of the Birthday boy. This is Edward's "cheeeeese" face.

Here is a picture of the Birthday Conductor and his fan club.

Here is the same group with their Thomas the train hats.

Edward has been asking for a "choo-choo train" cake for months and Publix makes this trademark version.

Edward's first biking lesson, complete with Thomas the Train helmet.

The homemade Thomas the Train version of the bean bag toss was a big hit. Edward had a blast at his party! I know he is already looking forward to his next birthday party :)

Today we went to the doctor's office for Edward's two-year check up and Annabelle's two-month check up. We left with two crying kids . . . oh the fun times.

But the visit went well. Edward is 27 lbs and 36 in tall, and Annabelle is 12.7 lbs and 24 in tall. For the two year check-up, the doctor asked us how many words Edward can say. We told him that we had to stop several months ago at 200 words when Edward's vocabulary started to grow exponentially. Some of his new vocabulary includes many shapes (octagon, parallelogram, trapezoid, pentagon, oval, rectangle, triangle, etc.), many colors, numbers up to 10, and up to M of the alphabet. The doctor said that knowing one color and one shape is a third year developmental milestone. We are very proud of him. He is such a smart cookie.

Annabelle continues to grow well and is starting to smile and to coo. She is so precious and loves to sleep. She is cuddly-wuddly!
